Luke (our customer) approached us with a requirement for a large carport canopy to extend from the side of his double garage and cover his existing parking area.
Luke’s garages were already full and he needed a secure covered area to store his trailer vans and to work on his track car.
The initial visit was relatively straightforward, taking into consideration the surrounding area we were able to design a canopy attached to the garage. It was decided that having wall mounted brackets on the garage side and posts the opposite side, would be the most discreet and efficient design.
The canopy drawings were signed off and Luke wanted the canopy to be powder coated to RAL 7016 (Anthracite Grey). He chose Opal polycarbonate for the roof to shade from the surrounding trees and the Opal would give the appearance of a light area.
Once a manufactured/delivered date had been confirmed, the installation team arranged a suitable date for the canopy to be delivered and erected.
Installation of the canopy was straightforward and by the end of the first day the canopy roof was glazed and prepared for the footings to be finished and secured. On the second day, the canopy was secured onto the freestanding posts, followed by a final wipe down and hand over.
