Mr Banks, our customer approached us with a requirement for a double carport canopy to cover his car’s and to give protection from the elements especially as winter is drawing closer. He was concerned about the paintwork of his vehicles and didn’t want them to be damaged by bad weather. Additionally, the spark plug reliability of a car weakens during winter.
Our customer lives in a modern and contemporary area, and wanted a carport canopy to not only provide protection to his cars but to appear aesthetically pleasing.
The open area provided a straightforward installation. The placement of the parking spaces created even more room for opening car doors and the simple yet elegant design of the canopy featured no intermediate posts. This made the carport furthermore practical and spacious.
The final drawings had been signed off and Mr Banks wanted the structure to be powder coated in Anthracite Grey (RAL7016), which would compliment the external fixtures and fittings on his property. Bronze polycarbonate was selected for the roof glazing, which helps hide the debris falling from the trees and the bird excrement. The polycarbonate roof can easily be cleaned nonetheless by using crawl boards positioned on the rafters.
Finally a manufactured delivery date had been confirmed. The installation team arranged a suitable date for the canopy to be delivered and erected, all in accordance with the customers time schedule.
Installation of the canopy was completed efficiently by the professional fitting team and by the end of the first day the canopy roof was glazed and prepared for final mounting. On the second day it was lifted and located onto it’s posts followed by a final wipe down and hand over with Mr Banks who was overwhelmed with the quality of the products, the aesthetics and the service provided by Kappion from start to finish.
