Our customer Brett (Saxon Bridge Automotive CEO) wanted a five bay handover canopy installed at his new site so that when customers purchase a vehicle they could collect it undercover and the car can look it’s best … our structurally sound, wide-span five bay handover canopy certainly offers the look that Brett was hoping for.
Due to the application of the canopy, the structure had to store five cars at the same time, with enough space to walk around a car. Our custom solution, made from steel was perfect due to the aesthetics in our design. Our curved canopies can maintain their stunning simple design without fussy supports and gallows brackets.
The main criteria was for a five bay handover canopy to present a range of vehicles under cover. The canopy also needed to provide good coverage to the staff and customers who stand outside when the vehicle is being handed over.
The five bay handover canopy was straightforward in design as each bay had equal in height and the floor area that they covered. In addition, the groundworks would be completed prior to the installation, so the canopy could be bolted down, 100mm below the surface, to a concrete pad. A tarmac layer was added at a later date so that only the posts were showing above zero terrain level. Furthermore, as the area was open with very few obstructions, the installers could work as efficiently as possible and without any disruption.
Once the final drawings had been signed off Brett wanted the structure to be powder coated Anthracite Grey (RAL 7016). Clear polycarbonate was also selected for roof glazing, ensuring that the maximum amount of natural light would be allowed into the canopy.

Brett was extremely happy with the superior structure that our professional fitting team had installed and the canopy not only does its job but looks amazing too.
