Sue & Sam (our customer) approached us with a requirement for a garden patio canopy to cover their paved area at the rear of the house. Sue and her husband enjoy entertaining and spending as much time as possible outside in the garden. Aesthetics we very important due to the surrounding manicured and maintained gardens…. the ‘Ultimate’ canopy was the ideal choice due to the 7.5m span that was required.

The initial visit was with Sam to discuss his needs, the area was relatively straightforward to cover.
Due to the house being a bungalow, we wanted to make the most space available and we did this by using wall attached cranked posts (see the following design detail that we used for the gallows and down pipe). We had to be mindful of the soffit and eaves, but also the height of the windows.
The canopy drawings were signed off and Sue & Sam chose the framework to be powder coated to RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey, which would suit the Golden Oak windows/doors and cream render. They chose clear polycarbonate for the roof which would allow maximum light transmission to the windows & doors.
Once a manufactured/delivered date had been confirmed, the installation team arranged a suitable date for the garden patio canopy to be delivered and erected.
Once installation started, the canopy took shape quite quickly and by the end of the first day, the structure was bolted together and glazed with polycarbonate. The second day involved securing the canopy via the wall brackets & leg posts whilst finishing off groundworks (block paving).
Due to our extensive installation experience, planning and design this canopy installation went really smoothly with no surprises. We and our customer were extremely pleased with the finished project.
