Our customer Jacqueline, based in Horsham, wanted a sizeable canopy installed that would offer coverage for two Horse boxes. Our free-standing solution provided Jacqueline with a canopy that featured 4 posts, no intermediate posts on the curve and a elegant design. Our carport meant that she had plenty room when loading and unloading with everything that she needed to take whilst transporting her horses. Although the canopy that she wanted was large, it was no problem for us due to the fact that all of our canopies are bespoke manufactured.
Aesthetics were critical for Jacqueline because the horse box and canopy were needed for her horses which are a great passion of hers. In addition, the size of the canopy meant that although the canopy would blend into the surroundings, it would still be noticeable so therefore she wanted it to look good too.
After visiting Jacqueline to measure up the dimensions of the canopy that she required, our professional fitting team knew that the installation was straightforward. Jacqueline was then eager to move to the next stage, place an official order and request production CAD drawings.
Jacqueline signed the drawings of quite quickly and chose RAL No. 7016 (Anthracite Grey), this was to help the canopy blend in with the surrounding trees and vegetation. She chose Bronze polycarbonate for the roof to shade the vehicle and soften the overall look.
Once a manufactured date had been confirmed, the Kappion installation team arranged to complete the groundwork’s and deliver the canopy in preparation for the installation.
We planned two days for installation due to the size of the canopy, particularly the height. Nevertheless the efficiency of the professional fitting team ensured that the canopy was installed in the specified time scale and there were no problems.
By the end of the first day, the roof structure was glazed and thanks to our specialised lifting equipment, the canopy was secured. The second day involved checking all the fixings and fitting the down pipes.
