Derek and Felicity, our customers approached us with a requirement for a contemporary carport canopy at the front of their property because they wanted to protect all of their vehicles and loved the look of our contemporary carports of course.
First of all, Derek and Felicity live in a beautiful bungalow in a lovely area with a modern and contemporary feel. Due to this they wanted a carport canopy to not only provide protection but also to complement the surrounding area.
Secondly, the simplicity of the design coupled with Derek and Felicity’s co-operation therefore made it a very easygoing and straightforward process so the only imitations were their requirements and preferences.
Derek and Felicity signed the final drawings off and wanted the structure to be powder coated in RAL 7001 Silver Grey. Equally important, this RAL would compliment and blend with the surroundings. In addition, Derek and Felicity chose clear polycarbonate for the roof glazing rather than bronze or opal. This is because it helps light transfer through the roof consequently making it brighter. Furthermore, surrounding trees weren’t so prominent in this area so bronze polycarbonate wasn’t necessary to hide bird mess for example.
Consequently, once a manufactured date had been confirmed the installation team arranged a suitable date for the canopy to be delivered and erected.
Installation of the canopy was clear-cut since there was space and relatively easy access. The Kappion fitting team were efficient and worked around the clock and using all of their experience and expertise. In light of slight adjustments that had to be made, still installed in two days of course.
In conclusion, once installation was finished we had a final wipe down and hand over with Derek and Felicity, who were extremely happy with the finished product.
