Matt at The Streetly Academy approached us with a requirement of a large queuing canopy. A place for the children to keep dry whilst queuing up for food.
Matt’s main aim was to keep his students well protected from the elements when queuing outdoors. Matt wanted to ensure it was stylish, therefore he opted to have the canopy the same colour as the buildings fascia. 9 times out of 10 we are able to match your exact colour request. After considering many other solutions on the market, he knew that the strength and style of our canopies would tick all of the boxes.
Following the initial estimate, Matt was happy with our price and went ahead and organised a site survey and design consultation with our project manager. During our site survey we used our high tech 3D scanner to collect all of the measurements allowing us to create a 3D visual of the long queuing canopy in situ. The 3D visual showed Matt that we could design the canopy to fit the space perfectly, covering his desired area. As well as this, the visual showcased the aesthetics reassuring Matt and his colleagues that the queuing canopy would look stunning.
After the survey:
Our customer Matt loved the 3D visual and was pleased with the final price. Matt therefore went ahead and placed the order and our designer promptly began the engineering drawings. Matt signed off the drawings with a request for the structure to be powder-coated in RAL 5002 Ultramarine Blue to match the fascia on the building. Consequently, he chose clear polycarbonate for the roof glazing as it allows the maximum amount of light transmission into the canopy.
Once a manufactured and delivery date had been confirmed, the project manager arranged a suitable date for the canopy to be delivered and erected.
Finally, installation of the long queuing canopy was straightforward with no issues. By the end of the day, the canopy structure had been bolted in place and fully glazed with polycarbonate. After a final wipe down and walk around with Matt to hand over the canopy, the team were on their way home.
Matt and his colleagues are absolutely thrilled with the new queuing canopy, as are the children. Queuing canopies are definitely a necessity with the times in which we are living in. In conclusion, our long queuing canopy provided the students with customer premium coverage and the school a structurally sound and pleasant to look at canopy.
