Janet contacted us because she wanted to cover her swimming pool with a canopy. She wanted some privacy as new houses would be overlooking her garden and the pool. She also wanted to protect the pool from the copious amounts of debris that fall from our skies these days. Janet liked the gentle curve of our canopies and thought our product would fit really well as we customise the solution to the space.
We install carports and canopies all over England, Scotland and Wales so Janet in Dunchurch was actually a really local install for us. After our estimated price was well received, we organised a site survey and design consultation with Janet. We discussed every aspect of the project and agreed that a free standing 4.9m x 9.4m curved canopy would be the optimum size. The 3D scans taken on site were then used to create a 3D video walkthrough of the swimming pool canopy, showing it in situ. Janet was over the moon with the design so we calculated a final price for her.
The final price met Janets expectations so she placed an order with us and our engineers started the CAD engineering drawings. Janet asked for the swimming pool canopy structure to be powder-coated in RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey and for the roof to be glazed in Opal polycarbonate (for privacy). As you can see from the photos above, this combination works very well and Opal polycarbonate is still allows light into the canopy.
Once the canopy had been manufactured, our project manager arranged a suitable date for the carport to be delivered and erected. The canopy was fully installed within 2 days and Janet was overjoyed with her brand new Kappion swimming pool canopy and how it complimented her garden and pool!
