Tapered Carport Installed in Chelmsford

Terry, our customer approached us with a requirement for a tapered carport attached to his garage as he wanted to protect his vehicles from the high winds, bird faeces, and falling debris from the trees… he fell in love with our canopy designs and knew we could deliver a custom solution.

Terry lives in a stunning property with a modern and contemporary feel, and so he wanted a carport canopy to not only provide protection but also to complement the surrounding area. Our curved carport certainly met Terry’s expectations

For us, the design was fairly straightforward as following the site survey we determined that the carport needed to be tapered with different lengths and widths. The tapered carport also needed to feature cranked posts to avoid the soffit on the garage. We set the posts in concrete with rebar for the ultimate strength.

Terry signed the final drawings off and wanted the structure to be powder coated in RAL 9005 Jet Black, which would complement and blend with the surroundings. Terry chose clear polycarbonate for the roof glazing because it allows the most amount of light to pass through.

Once a manufactured date had been confirmed, the installation team arranged a suitable date for the canopy to be delivered and erected.

Installation of the canopy was easygoing due to the accessibility of the installation location, our installation teams planning and also as a result of our site survey. The Kappion fitting team were efficient and the tapered carport was installed in two days.

Once the installation was finished, we had a final wipe down and hand over with Terry, who was ecstatic with what had been delivered.
