2 Wide Car Parking Carports installed in Cheltenham

Our customer, Miriam approached us with a requirement for a Car Parking Canopy to cover a total of 6 car parking bays. Miriam wanted 2 separate carports, both to cover 3 cars. With the car parking bays being located in a wooded area, there tends to be a lot of debris falling from trees, such as acorns, which can cause a lot of damage.

As the canopy was going to be freestanding and in a communal area, aesthetics were just as important as function as a lot of people would come face to face the canopies.

Shortly after we received Miriam’s enquiry, our project management team organised a suitable date for our surveyor to visit Miriam and her husband on site. Our visit was necessary as we need to the determine size and the area to be covered with the best and most efficient design. Miriam did not want guttering on her canopies as she wanted all of the rain water to drop off into her vegetation below.

Soon after our site visit with Miriam, she and her husband signed off the drawings and chose clear polycarbonate and RAL 7001 – Silver Grey. Miriam had to go through planning permission and once planning permission was accepted we sent Miriam’s canopy into production. Once both canopies had been fully manufactured, we got in touch with Miriam to organise a suitable installation date.

Once installation began, the canopy took shape quite quickly and by the end of the first day, the majority of the frame was installed and bolted together. The second day involved glazing the canopy roof with polycarbonate, checking/securing all fixings and securing the posts into the ground, whilst also finishing groundworks.

Our guys gave both canopies a final wipe down then presented to Miriam and her husband………both over the moon.
