Richard, our customer approached us with a requirement for a workshop extension canopy to provide coverage to his workers and their equipment so that when the workshop is full, staff can continue their duties outside.
First of all, Richard cares about his workers and the environment that they are in whilst working so he saw our bespoke canopy as the right solution. Not only protecting the workers and covering the area to the rear of the workshop, but the canopy also compliments the workshop by modernising it.
The canopy was a straightforward design and therefore the survey was relatively uncomplicated. Our team quickly determined the exact dimensions that the canopy would need to be bespoke manufactured to in order to cover the area at the rear of the workshop, between two units.
The freestanding steel structure that we provide meant that although a wide span was required, we did not need intermediate posts between the canopy. Consequently, the workforce would have even more space to work in free from any obstruction. Furthermore, the professional installation team had all the equipment required for a safe and secure installation, including scaffolding. This 3.9m high canopy was no problem for our team at all.
Richard signed off the final drawings and asked for the structure to be powder coated in Grey Silver (RAL9006), which would compliment the surroundings, buildings and area. Richard chose Clear polycarbonate for the roof glazing, to allow as much light into the area, as it was close to the windows and doors on the house.
In conclusion, once a manufactured delivered date had been confirmed lthe installation team arranged a suitable date for the canopy to be delivered and erected. Installation of the canopy was straightforward and by the end of the first day the canopy structure was in place and partially glazed. The second day consisted of finishing off glazing the canopy and wiping it down. It was evident from the final walk round with Richard that he was exceedingly satisfied.
