Back in July, our customer John approached Kappion with a requirement of a wash bay canopy. John already had an existing wash bay on his site, but it wasn’t really up to scratch. Therefore John came to us at Kappion as he knew we could provide him with the very best solution.
After a number of conversations with our sales and technical team, John decided to go ahead with a site survey so that we could scan the spaces and create a 3D video walkthrough for him. The 3D visual showed John that we could design the canopy so that it fit the space perfectly, covering both spaces. As well as this, the visual showcased the aesthetics reassuring our customer that the canopy would look stunning.
John wanted the 2 bay valeting canopy to fill the available space, meaning the rear/right side had to have a taper. John also wanted custom hose trunking to house his jet wash hoses. We were able to provide him with 30 linear metres Hose trunking and plates for washtec swivels. Infills on left, right, middle and rear of the canopy.
After the survey:
Shortly after viewing the 3D video and the accepting his final price, John placed his order so we engineered the canopy drawings which he later signed off with a request for the structure to have a galvanised finish. Furthermore, John chose Opal polycarbonate to glaze the canopy roof, keeping it light, airy and contemporary. 25mm structured clear & opal polycarbonate was the choice for the infills.
The drawings were signed off as John was happy and before we knew it the canopy was being manufactured.
Once the 2 Bay Valeting Canopy had been manufactured we arranged a suitable installation date with John…we try to be as flexible as possible so that all of our customers needs are met.
After just three days, the whole canopy solution had been erected, bolted to surface and glazed with polycarbonate. Needless to say our customer was over the moon with the finished product and the service that he had received throughout the project.
Due to our extensive installation experience, planning and design this canopy installation went really smoothly with no surprises. We and our customer were extremely pleased with the finished product.
