Blending Beauty with Utility: A Bespoke Caravan Sanctuary in Lincolnshire

They say a man’s home is his castle, but for Roy in Lincolnshire, his caravan is his sanctuary. Roy came to us with a very specific vision: he wanted a structure that didn’t just protect his investment, but actually looked like it belonged to the landscape.

We’re thrilled to say the result didn’t just meet his expectations—it blew them away. Here is a look at how we turned Roy’s vision into a Moss Green reality.

The Vision: Seamless Integration

The standout feature of this build is the color. Roy opted for 6005 Moss Green, a choice specifically designed to harmonise with the lush Lincolnshire surroundings. By matching the structure to the natural greenery, we ensured the caravan cover felt like an extension of the garden rather than an imposition on it.

This free-standing structure provides heavy-duty protection without requiring any structural changes to Roy’s existing buildings, offering the perfect balance of independence and stability.

Engineering the Details

A great installation is all about the “hidden” logic. We incorporated several custom features to ensure the structure performed as good as it looked:

  • Planja Guttering: To manage rainwater effectively, we installed Planja guttering that overshoots the adjacent garage roof, ensuring total water diversion.
  • Integral Drainage: On the right-hand side, we utilised an integral downpipe. The water travels discreetly through the frame and exits through the rear post, depositing safely onto the earth ground.
  • The “Crank” Factor: On the left-hand side, our team got creative. We “cranked” the design around the existing fascia and posts, allowing us to create a custom overhang. This clever bit of geometry provides optimal coverage where a standard build would have left a gap.

Security Meets Style

Roy wanted “that little bit more” when it came to protection. We installed polycarbonate infills featuring a sleek curve. These aren’t just for show—they provide:

  1. Enhanced Security: Creating a physical barrier that discourages tampering.
  2. Weather Protection: Shielding the caravan from driving wind and rain while still letting natural light filter through.
  3. Aesthetic Flow: The curve softens the industrial lines of the structure, giving it a premium, finished look.

The Result

Roy had a vision for his caravan, and we were honoured to build it. By combining clever engineering—like the fascia cranking and integral drainage—with a colour palette that respects the Lincolnshire countryside, we’ve created a space that is as functional as it is beautiful.
