Pete, our customer approached us with a requirement for a carport and porch canopy to protect his car and provide shelter above his door. A custom solution was required as no ordinary canopy company could design a solution whereby the two canopies would be attached to one another and made to measure.
The aim of our site visit was to ensure that we could cover the space available as effectively as possible. We determined that the porch canopy would be attached at the rear right-hand side of the carport. Furthermore, the porch canopy would need to be attached to an existing wall with a wall bar as posts would be too obtrusive. Regarding the carport, this would need to feature posts attached to the wall of the house.
Due to the customisation of our canopies, we could meet all of Pete’s requirements. Each and every canopy is structurally sound, fully guaranteed and custom designed to create the perfect dry space. We were confident that we could deliver the perfect carport and porch canopy for Pete.
The first draft drawings were created following the site survey and Pete was happy to confirm the measurements of the carport and porch canopy. We had to ensure that the measurements were correct as the two canopies were to be attached to each other and a wall on at least one side.
Pete signed off the final drawings for his carport and porch canopy and chose the contemporary colour Jet Black (RAL 9005) for both canopies. Pete chose opal polycarbonate for the roof glazing of the carport as this complimented the contemporary jet black powder coat very well. The porch canopy featured clear polycarbonate in the roof in order to maximise light transmission.
Our specialist installation team pursued and the carport and porch canopy was fully installed within two days. Pete couldn’t be happier as we delivered the perfect custom solution that he would not have found elsewhere.
