The estimated price was well received, the next step was for us to conduct a site survey.
During the survey, our surveyor discussed every aspect of the project with Andrew’s wife. As with all of our canopies, we discuss post positions, but especially with motorhomes with their limited visibility and size, we talk about how Andrew drives in and out and the front post position. We spoke about the size of the canopy and how best to accommodate the tiles at the gable. We engineered a small step in the eaves to achieve the length required but wrap around the tiles.
Order Placed, Engineering Started:
Our design engineers began with the production CAD drawings. Andrew requested for the canopy structure to be powder-coated in RAL7036 Platinum Grey.
Andrew chose the canopy to be glazed in Clear polycarbonate, as they wanted as much light to get to their solar panel on the motorhome.
Once the canopy had been manufactured, our project manager arranged a suitable date for the carport to be delivered and erected.
Andrew was over the moon with the canopy and his Motorhome fits perfectly.
