Mr Hodges, our customer approached us back in February with a requirement for a part wall attached, part freestanding double carport canopy to cover a Land Rover Defender & a Jaguar.
Mr Hodges lives in a beautiful period property and wanted a canopy solution to cover his two large vehicles, whilst complimenting the surroundings and buildings.

The main criteria was install a canopy which would be wall attached in one corner and with as few posts as possible on the other three elevations.
The canopy itself was a straightforward design as Mr Hodges liked the sleek design of the Ultimate canopies curve. Apart from the house wall we were attaching to, the area was quite open and there was plenty of room to work with. Mr Hodges only wanted one wall attached leg and three posts, so our structural engineers specified a stronger gauge of steel for the canopy guttering to allow for the span without additional support posts.
Mr Hodges signed the final drawings off and wanted the structure to be powder coated in Fawn Brown (RAL8007), which would compliment the surroundings, trees and area. Mr Hodges chose Bronze polycarbonate for the roof glazing, which helps the canopy blend in to it’s surroundings and helps hides the debris falling from the trees..
Once a manufactured/delivered date had been confirmed, the installation team arranged a suitable date for the canopy to be delivered and erected.
Installation of the canopy was straightforward and by the end of the first day the canopy roof was glazed and prepared. On the second day it was lifted and located onto it’s posts followed by a final wipe down and hand over with Mr Hodges.
