Our customer Alan contacted us with the requirement for a driveway carport that covers the whole of his parking area from front to back. Just short of 12 metres. This driveway carport makes this space usable all year round. Alan can walk from his side door to the garage completely in the dry. Oh! and the rottie has a new dry space for his to roam about.
After a number of conversations with our sales and technical team, Alan decided to go ahead with a site survey so that we could scan the area and create a 3D video walkthrough for him. The 3D visual showed how we would fit the driveway carport so that it fits the space perfectly, covering the whole of the desired area. As well as this, the visual showed the beautiful aesthetics reassuring Alan that the canopy would look stunning and match the surroundings perfectly.
Alan requested for his canopy to be powder-coated in RAL 9005 Jet Black as he wanted the carport to look stylish and contemporary. It also needed to blend with the gates and the gutters and downspouts around the property. Alan wanted the roof to be glazed in clear structured polycarbonate.
The final price for the solution was as expected and once Alan placed his order, our design engineers quickly started the engineering drawings. We had to check that the drawings included particular custom elements of the solution as we were squeezing this carport into a very tight space.
Drawings sign off:
The drawings were signed off by Alan and before we knew it the canopy had entered the manufacturing process. Shortly after the long driveway carport had been bespoke manufactured and one of our project managers organised the installation date with Alan.
Once installation began, the carport took shape fairly quickly. The installation took a total of 2 days. The 2nd day was spent glazing the canopy roof with polycarbonate and cleaning up the area.
Alan is over the moon with the result and can’t wait to get out and use the new space! We provided our customer with a bespoke canopy solution that ticked all of their boxes. Stunning, aesthetically pleasing, custom-designed and structurally sound.
