Richard who has had one of our canopies installed 5 years ago got in touch with the Kappion team to design and manufacture a small seating canopy for his garden.
Richard wanted a Europort style canopy with two walls of Rhombus shaped (rainscreen) timber infills forming a corner. The canopy sits looking at Richards garden and provides a nicely protected area for chilling.
Made from steel the Premium Kappion Europort is super strong and the wrap around fascia gives it that contemporary modern look.
Powder coated in RAL 7016 Anthracite grey and glazed in Clear (diffused) structured polycarbonate… this combo is one of our most popular in this situation.
The process
The estimated price was well received, and the next step was for us to conduct a site survey. During the survey, we took our usual detailed 360 point cloud scans and discussed with Richard how he wanted to use the area and how much coverage he wanted.
Following the survey we sent Richard a 360 walkthrough video so he could see exactly how the canopy was going to look once it had been installed. Our customers love this part of our process it really helps from a visual and practical use point of view. It also helps identify parts that need to change because of collision.
Order Placed, Engineering Started:
Our design engineers began with the production CAD drawings. Richard requested for the carport structure to be powder-coated in RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey fine textured finish. Pretty much a standard colour for us these days.
Richard decided the roof should be glazed in Clear structured polycarbonate as this will give a light and airy feel to the canopy.
Once the canopy had been manufactured, our project manager arranged a suitable date for the carport to be delivered and erected.
