The sun has been shining down on Kilwinning, Scotland, this week—and our team has been making the absolute most of it!
If you’ve been following our recent posts, you’ll know we’ve already fitted a fair few of our signature Europort Canopies for this fantastic customer. We are on a roll, with another 20+ installations already in the pipeline!
Here is a quick look behind the scenes at our latest installs and how we tailor these sleek structures to fit every single property.
Tailored Fit Across Every Home Style
While these Europort canopies are all pretty much the same standard size, no two installations are identical. The style of the properties varies—ranging from standard multi-storey homes to charming bungalows—requiring a tailored approach every time.
Despite the different rooflines and brickwork, the final result is seamless: a super-sleek, modern addition that offers ultimate year-round protection from the Scottish weather.
Key Features of This Week’s Installs:
- Colour Finish: Finished in popular 7016 Anthracite Grey for a sharp, contemporary look that complements any exterior.
- Watertight Seal: Every canopy is sealed directly to the property using a high-performance Kappion sealing trim, ensuring no unwanted drips or leaks behind the frame.
- Integrated Drainage: We fixed the external downpipes directly to our posts, keeping the drainage system neat, functional, and hidden in plain sight.
Heavy-Duty Fixings for Hollow Walls
A common challenge on these builds is dealing with hollow wall construction. Standard wall plugs or basic anchor bolts simply won’t cut it when you’re installing a heavy-duty canopy designed to withstand Scottish winds.
To ensure maximum safety and longevity, we use the best in the business: Hilti fixing methods. By utilising high-strength Hilti Resin and specialized sleeves, we create a rock-solid, chemical anchor inside the hollow brickwork. Once that resin cures, those canopies aren’t going anywhere!

With a few more completed this week, we’re gearing up for the next phase of this massive project. With 20+ more Europort canopies coming down the line, Kilwinning is looking sleeker by the day!
