Half-term isn’t a break for everyone! While students enjoy their time off, it means the Kappion fitters are out in full force installing essential school canopies. This week, we headed to St. James Academy in Dudley to tackle a substantial project: a long, protective walkway canopy.
Engineering Challenges Met
Every large-scale installation comes with its unique set of challenges, and this one was no exception! Thankfully, nothing is too much for the experienced Kappion engineering team.
On this project, we had the pleasure of working closely with Sam from MBC Building, and together, we delivered an impressive q-curved canopy. This structure, built from robust steel, now provides essential all-weather cover along a significant length of the raised walkway, ready to protect students and staff for years to come.
Fitters Go the Extra Mile (Literally!)
The St. James Academy job certainly made sure our fitters got their steps in this week! The nearest viable parking spot for the truck was a decent walk away, complete with a couple of flights of steps. It’s a good thing our installation team is incredibly fit, ready, and up for any challenge—they certainly earned their rest this weekend!
