Our customer, Peter, approached us with the requirement for a long carport. Peter wanted his carport to be installed at the side of his property, which meant it would be visible from the street scene…meaning aesthetics were very important. Our most stylish quarter curved carport was the ideal choice for Peter with its premium quality and contemporary appearance.
Firstly, the initial visit to Peter’s home in Cheshire was to discuss his needs and requirements. Peter already had an existing canopy when we came to visit, we offer to take down and dispose of it for a small fee. The area was relatively straightforward to cover, just a long driveway. We wanted to make sure that we maximised all of Peter’s available space to provide him with the ultimate solution. We were able to do this using our high tech 3D scanning equipment to scan the area.
Our clever 3d scanner collects all of the data and translates it into a point cloud file. We then design the canopy within the point cloud, ensuring it will fit the space perfectly. Our designers then create a 3D video walkthrough to show our customer how the canopy will look on their driveway and against their house… Most importantly, helping our customer visualise the final product.
After the survey:
After seeing the 3D video walkthrough, Peter promptly signed off the canopy drawings. Peter chose to have the structure powder-coated in RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey, which compliments his property very well. Furthermore, Peter chose opal polycarbonate for the roof which provides light, privacy, and a clean, contemporary finish.
Once a manufactured/delivered date had been confirmed, the installation team arranged a suitable date for the long carport to be delivered and erected. The carport took shape quite quickly. The structure was bolted together, secured, and concreted into the ground on the first day ready for the polycarbonate to be installed.
In conclusion, Peter loved his brand new Kappion carport and we were proud to deliver a safe high-quality product at an affordable price.
