Our customer, Paul approached us with a requirement for a canopy to cover his patio area at the rear of his property. Paul previously had a gazebo covering his patio but the low quality fabric roof began to rip over time, allowing rain to enter. We could provide a much more subtatial, sustainable and permanent solution.
Paul decided to go ahead with a survey and we arranged it for a date that suited him. When undertaking the survey we needed to consider the aco drain position and how we would position each post. Following the survey we designed the canopy so that it would feature bespoke cranked posts to support the eaves beam. Not only that, we posistioned each post so that they weren’t blocking the doorway to the worksjop or various windows.
Paul’s garden naturally gathered a lot of rain water due to there not being an aco drain for the water to escape to. He therefore organised for an aco drain to be installed around his patio area enabling us to position our post in line with the soakaway giving the water an escape route.
Paul was happy to sign the final canopy drawigs off and chose to have the structure powder coated in Anthracite Grey (RAL 7016) which would give a contemporary appeal. He then chose clear polycarbonate for the roof to allow the maximum light transmission through the roof and windows.
Once our team had a manufactured date, our project management team arranged a suitable date for our installers to deliver and erect the patio canopy.
Soon after the installation began the canopy took shape quite quickly and by the end of the first day the structure was bolted together, glazed with polycarbonate and secured in the ground. Paul is overjoyed with his brand new catio canopy and we are proud to have delivered a safe, high-quality product at an affordable price.
