Our customer Rhodri approached us with the need of a carport. The carport would be installed at his clients property in Llanelli. He wanted a carport solution which would allow his client to get in and out of his vehicle whilst staying undercover away from the winter elements.
Rhodri decided to go ahead and book in a site survey which best suited his clients schedule. When undertaking the survey we used our high tech 3D scanner which collects all the needed measurements and data which then allows our design team to create the carport in situ and produce a 3D visual to show our customer how the carport canopy will look next to his property.
When designing this carport, we had to ensure that our post would not intersect with the garage door, ultimately blocking the entry.
Rhodri and his client loved the 3D visual and were happy to sign the final canopy drawings off and opted to have the structure powder coated in Anthracite Grey (RAL 7016) which would give a the canopy and property a contemporary look and feel. He also chose clear polycarbonate for the roof glazing to allow the maximum light transmission to enter the carport.
Once the carport has been manufactured, our project management team were able to arrange a suitable date for our installers to deliver and erect the carport canopy.
Shortly after installation began, the canopy took shape fairly quickly and by the end of the first day the structure had been bolted together, secured to the ground and property walls. Our fitters returned the following day to glaze the carport with polycarbonate and hand over to our customer.
Rhodri and his client were overjoyed with the finished product and we are proud to have delivered a safe, high-quality product at an affordable price.
