A welcoming entryway should be practical, beautiful, and protected from the elements year-round. Yesterday, the Kappion team was in Gloucester installing a custom front entrance canopy for Martin. As a disabled homeowner, Martin needed a reliable, covered space over his front door to make entering and exiting his home easier and far more comfortable. The result is a transformed entrance that blends effortless accessibility with striking curb appeal.
Tested by Four Seasons in a Single Day
Gloucester put our canopy to the ultimate test on day one. The morning brought bright, warm sunshine, which quickly turned into heavy afternoon downpour.
Fortunately, the new canopy was engineered for exactly this kind of unpredictable UK weather:
- UV Ray Blockers: The bronze polycarbonate panels shield the doorway from intense sun and glare during hot spells.
- Complete Rain Protection: The solid overhead structure keeps rain completely off Martin and protects his newly installed front door from water damage.
Tailored Precision and Clean Drainage
At Kappion, off-the-shelf solutions rarely cut it. Our professional fitters custom-cut the bronze polycarbonate directly against the building’s unique curves and architectural features, ensuring a weather-tight seal that we fully guarantee.
Project Specifications:
- Framework Finish: Clean, modern RAL 9016 Traffic White.
- Roof Panels: High-grade Bronze Polycarbonate.
- Structural Support: Wall-attached on one side with three sturdy support posts (including one securely concreted into the ground).
- Integrated Drainage: Dedicated downpipe outlet running directly into the existing ACO drain to manage heavy rainfall runoff seamlessly.
- Turnaround Time: Fully installed, sealed, and handed over in just half a day.
