Our customer Mark approached us with the requirement of a carport and entrance canopy. Mark loves the modern look that our wrap around fascia provides and therefore wanted the Europort style. Mark wanted the Europort to blend in with his property, making it look like it was built with the house, which was the sole purpose of making the carport canopy.
We came up with the idea of having a 2 tier carport canopy which furthers the modern look and feel. Mark wanted the carport canopy to not only provide protection but to complement the aesthetics of the area and his vehicles, which is ultimately why he opted to go for the 2 tier Europort with slatted aluminium infills.
Once we had confirmed the sizes, Mark signed off the final drawings and asked for the structure to be powder coated in ‘Anthracite Grey’ (RAL7016), which would complement the surroundings, buildings and vehicles being covered. Whilst the colour looks contemporary, there are a total of 1,625 colours that our canopies can be powder coated in.
Mark opted for opal polycarbonate for the roof glazing on his carport which keeps the canopy light and airy. This is hidden by the fascia on the Europort as it will be fitted on the inside. Mark chose VSG safety glass for the roof on his entrance canopy. Once a manufactured date had been confirmed, the project manager arranged a suitable date for the canopy to be delivered and erected.
Finally, the installation of the 2 tier Europort was straightforward due to the extensive amount of time spent on the engineering drawings. By the end of the first day, the canopy structure was in place and bolted together. It wasn’t long before we installed the infills and fascia. Mark was over the moon with his brand new Kappion Europort. It was exactly what he wanted.
