Back in August, our customer Eddie submitted an enquiry through our website, asking for a 5m wide x 4.5m long Quarter Curved carport. Our estimators quickly sent Eddie his estimate, which was well received. The next step was to go out and visit Eddie at his home to scan the area and talk through his needs and requirements.
Firstly the initial visit to Tamworth was to discuss Eddie’s needs, the area was relatively straightforward to cover. On site, Eddie told us that he would like the carport to be two-toned. The rafters, gutter and eaves beams are to be RAL 9016 Traffic white and for the posts to be RAL 8019 Grey Brown. We wanted to make sure that we maximised the use of the space to provide Eddie with the best solution. We were able to do this using our high-tech 3D scanning equipment to scan the area.
Our scanner collected all of the data on Eddie’s driveway… our designer then created a point cloud file using the data. Within the point cloud file, we could ensure the carport would fit the space perfectly against Eddie’s home. Our designer then created a 3D video walkthrough to show our customer, which really helped him to visualise the final product.
After the 3D Visual:
Shortly after reviewing the 3d visual, Eddie asked for a few little changes – we sent him an updated visual which he approved, along with the final price. The canopy drawings were signed off after we raised the CAD drawings following the site survey, and Eddie chose to have the structure powder-coated in RAL 9016 & RAL 8019, which actually compliments his property very well. Furthermore, Eddie chose opal polycarbonate for the roof which hides the debris and keeps the carport looking fresh. And because it’s white in appearance it reflects the light really well.
Once a manufactured/delivered date had been confirmed, the installation team arranged a suitable date for the carport to be delivered and erected. The canopy took shape quite quickly. The structure was bolted together, secured, and bolted to the ground on the first day ready for the polycarbonate to be installed.
In conclusion, Eddie loves his brand-new Kappion carport which provides his garage with the extension he was hoping for. We are proud to deliver a safe high-quality product at an affordable price.
