Our customer, Melissa approached us in search of a made-to-measure alfresco patio canopy so that she, her husband and her parents could enjoy their outdoor living space for longer, all whilst undercover. We surveyed and collected the dimensions of the property and the patio area, all this data was collected on our very clever scanner & point-cloud software.
After a few conversations with our sales and technical teams, Melissa decided to go ahead with a site survey. During the site survey, our surveyor spoke with Melissa and her family about their requirements. Everybody had their own preference and thoughts on how they wanted the canopy to look, so once the data had been relayed back to the office, the designer got to work, providing them with multiple canopy visuals.
The 3D visual showed the canopy options and how we would install the alfresco patio canopy so that it fits the space perfectly, covering the required areas. As well as this, the visual shows the beautiful aesthetics, reassuring Melissa and her family that the canopy would look stunning against their property! In the end, they opted for the spectacular 16.63m canopy!
Furthermore, to ensure our customer received the most premium solution, we designed the canopy so that the eaves beam cranks around the soil pipe and we used a wall bracket to avoid huge cranked posts and an additional intrusive post, which would potentially stop the window from opening. Kappion really takes every detail into account!
Shortly after okaying the visual, we provided Melissa with her final price, which was well received & accepted. She asked for the canopy to be powder-coated in RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey. Melissa wanted the roof to be glazed in bronze structured polycarbonate – ideal for reducing the light and more effective at hiding debris. The polycarbonate has a protective UV layer so it looks after and shades the humans below perfectly. You can see from the images the amount of shade that the bronze polycarbonate lets through.
Order Placed:
Melissa placed her order and our design engineers quickly started the engineering drawings. Once the canopy had been manufactured we arranged a suitable installation date with Melissa. We try to be as flexible as possible so that ALL of our customer’s needs are met.
Subsequently, the canopy had been completed in just 3 days. Within those 3 days, the whole canopy solution had been erected, concreted into the ground, attached to the property and the polycarbonate glazed to the roof.
Needless to say, Melissa and her family were over the moon with the finished product and the service that they had received throughout the project. Our customers can’t wait to get out and use the space for entertaining!
