Quarter-Curved Carport installed in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne

Our customers Lynda & Ray approached us in need of a carport to cover their driveway space. They wanted their carport to sit in front of their garage and at the right side of their home. This carport provides extended coverage for one car in front of the garage… let’s face it how do you fit a modern car in a garage these days? Solution = carport.

Lynda & Ray initially made their enquiry through our website and was pleased with the estimated price handed to them. We arranged to undertake a site survey and design consultation. During the design consultation, we established how we would install the posts, attach the carport to the property and fill the space as efficiently as possible. We also talked through colours, polycarbonate options etc.

Our customers wanted their carport to be wall attached and to minimise the amount of water ingress where possible. With that in mind, we designed the carport so the polycarbonate would cut around the garage in multiple places. This is a fiddly job for our fitters but we strive to provide our customers with the very best!

After the survey:

Following the site survey, we sent Lynda & Ray their 3D visual, which they loved! The final price for the solution was as expected and once they placed their order, our design engineers quickly started the engineering drawings.

RAL 9005 Jet Black was specified for the canopy structure as it gives the canopy a contemporary finish and not to mention compliments the property. Ray & Lynda wanted the enclose the right side of the carport with a wall of Siberian Larch timber infills.

We had to check that the drawings included particular custom elements of the solution such as wall-attached cranked posts, rafters, trims & custom inset posts to cater to the brick wall on the right side. We had to inset the 2 middle posts by 20mm to maximise the interior carport space & for the infills. We go into great detail!

Once the carport had been manufactured, our team arranged a suitable date for the carport to be taken to the site and installed. As expected, the carport fit the space perfectly and was fully installed within just a few days.

Lynda & Ray were both thrilled with the finish and how it complemented their property!
