Chris approached us on behalf of Skipton Little Theatre with a requirement for an entrance canopy. There were concerns as visitors would always get wet whilst waiting outside the entrance whenever there was precipitation. Aesthetics we very important due to the nature of the surrounding area, street scene and stonework of the theatre.
Due to the location being in an AONB, we wanted to make the canopy solution as appropriate as possible. With our sleek curves and powder coating that can be selected to blend in, Chris knew we were the right company. Chris did not want an ugly looking canopy that would appear intrusive. Additionally, we could inset the posts of the canopy on the right-hand side in order to maximise the space available.
The canopy drawings were signed off and Chris chose to have the structure powder coated in stone grey (RAL7030), which would suit the stonework of the building. Clear polycarbonate was selected for the roof which would allow maximum light transmission.
We confirmed the installation date with Chris once the entrance canopy had been manufactured and once the installation process started, the canopy took shape quite quickly and by the end of the first day, the structure was bolted together, glazed with polycarbonate and secured to the ground.
Chris was extremely satisfied with the entrance canopy and we were proud to deliver a safe high-quality product at an affordable price, that was also appropriate regarding the architecture and street scene.
