Our customer approached us with a requirement for a garden patio canopy to cover her paved area. It was extremely important to Mala that the canopy would be structurally sound, and able to withstand snow and ice by way of avalanches. Further, Mala needed a bespoke solution in order to avoid a soil pipe in the middle of the wall that the canopy would be attached to.
Mala wanted to create as much dry space as possible so she needed a long patio canopy measured at 8.55 metres in length. Aesthetics were also important to Mala, she was looking for a canopy company that could design a curved solution that could be powder coated to any RAL colour, not just a standard colour.
The canopy drawings were signed off following our survey and final price and Mala chose to have the structure powder coated in Cream (RAL9001). VSG glass was chosen by Mala for the roof due to its level of durability as it is toughened and laminated.
The long patio canopy had been bespoke manufactured and so we organised an installation date. Once installation started, the canopy took shape quite quickly and by the end of the first day, the majority of the structure was bolted together and in the air. The following day the canopy was glazed with VSG glass and secured to the ground.
Mala was relieved to have a canopy solution that ticked all of her boxes. Stunning, aesthetically pleasing, custom designed and structurally sound.
