Mitsubishi UK Headquarters contacted us with a requirement of a freestanding commercial Europort Handover Bay for their site in Cirencester. Mitsubishi had noticed that we had previously installed a Europort Carport Handover Bay for Rolls Royce Cars back in May of this year. The Europort Carport Handover Bay is exactly what they were looking for.
Our job was to create a handover bay that was easy on the eye and practical at the same time, which we have undoubtedly achieved. Not to mention our Europort Carport Handover Bay protects and shelters vehicles from the weather elements.
Shortly after we provided Mitsubishi with their estimate, we scheduled a site visit where we could conduct a survey. We needed to check the ground, site and determine final post positions and the measurements. Our surveyor established that our installation team could install each post 100mm below the block paving. As seen on the photos, a third party would undertake the reamaining groundworks.
With Mitsubishi on a tight schedule, they needed their Europort carport Handover Bay fitted as soon as possible. With that in mind, we went full speed into design engineering and then into production. This specific Europort Carport Handover Bay was a demo set up for the Mitsubishi Headquarters.
As soon as the customer was happy with the final drawings the canopy as sent into production. The structure was hot-dip galvanised and powder coated in Jet Black (RAL 9005) to match the new Mitsubishi corporate branding. Whilst Mitsubishi went with Jet Black (RAL9005), there are a total of 1,625 colours that our canopies can be powder coated in. Mitsubishi chose clear 10mm polycarbonate for the roof glazing which would allow the light to flood into the space below the carport.
Once we had a manufactured delivery date we contacted the personnel at Mitsubishi to arrange a sutable date for our team to come and erect the Europort canopy.
Finally, the installation of the commercial Europort Carport Handover Bay was extremely straightforward as the structure wasn’t placed in between any walls or objects. The installation only took our team 2 days to complete! The structure was bolted 100mm below ground using our footplate fixing system. After a final wipe down and inspection with our customer, the job had been completed and all expectations were met.
