Following his approval of the estimate, Paul arranged a site survey with our project manager, ensuring a date that suited both parties.
Site Survey
Gary, our surveyor, met with Paul to understand his specific needs for the carport, covering both practical and visual aspects. To ensure a perfect fit, Gary employed our Leica 360 scanner, which captures multiple images and data points to create a precise point cloud. This allows us to design the canopy directly within the digital model, guaranteeing accurate integration with the property.
Upon completion of the survey, Gary transferred the detailed information and 360 scans to the design team. The designer then developed a 3D video walkthrough, providing Paul with a clear visualisation of the canopy’s integration with his property. This visual aid proved invaluable, as Paul immediately approved the design, confirming it aligned perfectly with his expectations.
With final details such as RAL colour, polycarbonate tint, and infill material confirmed, Paul’s customised production drawings were created. After a single revision, Paul approved, and manufacturing began. He opted for a powder-coated aluminium slatted infill wall, a lockable gate, a RAL 9016 fascia to complement his property, and RAL 7012 posts and infills to align with his gates. While initially hesitant about the white fascia, the finished installation exceeded expectations, delivering a premium aesthetic. The project manager coordinated a suitable installation date, and the canopy was expertly installed over three and a half days. Paul expressed immense satisfaction, emphasising the canopy’s perfect integration with his home’s architecture.
