We are thrilled to showcase our latest installation, completed just this week in the beautiful town of Lymm. This project perfectly demonstrates the capabilities of our bespoke steel construction, resulting in a super sleek, mono-pitched carport that blends functionality with contemporary design.
Breaking Boundaries with Steel Construction
One of the common limitations with aluminium carports is their inability to achieve wide, open spans without intermediate supports. This is where our high-strength steel construction truly shines. As you can see in the photo, we have achieved an impressive full 6.3-metre open span.
This engineering feat is more than just a number; it provides a significant practical advantage. The wide-open space allows our customer to easily drive through the carport to the garage behind it, while still leaving ample room for a second vehicle to be parked comfortably underneath, fully protected from the elements.
Protected Contemporary Look and Ultimate Durability
To complement the sleek steel frame, the carport is glazed with bronze polycarbonate. This choice not only provides a modern, contemporary aesthetic but also offers excellent protection from the sun’s UV rays, keeping the vehicles underneath cooler and shielded.
Durability is paramount in all our structures. The entire steel framework has been hot dip galvanized for maximum corrosion resistance and then powder coated to a substantial 160 microns. This multi-stage process ensures a long-lasting, maintenance-free finish that will look fantastic for years to come.
Custom Details
For this particular project, we incorporated a unique detail. Instead of our usual integrated guttering system, this carport features external steel guttering and a downpipe. This choice not only adds to the industrial-chic aesthetic but also demonstrates our ability to tailor every aspect of the design to meet our customers’ specific preferences and site requirements.
