We recently installed 4 identical carports for North Ayrshire Council on one of their new housing development sites in Irvine. All four of the carports had larch infills, which really set the bar high. The larch infills not only look amazing but also provide great protection from the prevailing winds and rain.
Barry (the site manager) approached us and asked for 4 identical carports with larch infills. 2 carports are left handed and 2 are right handed. We had the perfect solution for him.
Barry signed the final drawings off and asked for the carports with larch infills to be powder coated in ‘Jet Black’ Fine Textured (RAL9005), which blend with the surroundings and property fascia’s. Clear polycarbonate was the choice for the roof glazing. The clear polycarbonate complements the Jet Black framework nicely and allows as much light into the canopy as possible keeping it light and airy.
Once a manufactured delivered date had been confirmed, the installation team arranged a suitable date for the canopy to be delivered and erected.
Finally, the installation of the 4 carports with larch infills was for the most part easy. The only complication our fitting team faced was the unfinished ground. The roads and driveways are due to be tarmacked and block paved in the coming weeks. The site still has another 3-4 months before completion. Four days were required to complete the installation. After a final wipe down and walk around with Barry to hand over the carport, Barry was more than happy with the finished products and will be using us again for future projects.
