Mandy approached us with a requirement for a carport canopy to replace her existing garage, which was contaminated with asbestos. Mandy arranged for her garage to be taken down by asbestos specialists. Her previous garage wasn’t wide enough to store a vehicle in, so she wanted her new carport canopy to cover her property and provide parking and shelter right to the back of the property. The carport is a more suitable solution than her previous garage and provides more space. Mandy wanted a gate installed on the front of her carport, so with that in mind we manufactured and supplied a post with welded gate hooks. Mandy will source her gate from a local company.
Shortly after we received Mandy’s enquiry, we organised a site survey where we could check out the space, ground level and determine the measurements needed for the canopy. We determined the location of the carport, where the posts would be placed and if we need any wall attached posts.
Mandy signed off the final drawings for her new carport canopy. As Mandy wanted the canopy to look modern and contemporary, she asked for the structure to be powder coated in ‘Jet Black’ Fine Textured (RAL 9005) She opted for spaced Larch infills and clear 10mm polycarbonate for the roof glazing.
Our specialist installation team fully installed Mandy’s carport canopy with larch infills in three days. Mandy couldn’t be happier as we delivered the perfect solution that met her needs and exceeded her expectations.
