A Cute Quarter Curved Carport installed in Dover

David and his wife, Susan, approached us back in June with the need to cover one of their vehicles. They expressed to us that debris from the skies and surrounding trees kept landing on their vehicle….so a carport was needed! David and Susan live in a beautiful modern home down by the seaside in Dover and wanted the carport to fit in perfectly with the property as if it was built along with the house! I think it’s fair to say we have achieved this! Our most stylish Quarter Curved carport was the ideal choice for our customer with its premium quality and extremely contemporary appearance.

Firstly the initial visit down to Dover was to discuss David & Susan’s needs, requirements and the area, which was relatively straightforward to cover. We wanted to make sure that we maximised the use of the space to provide David & Susan with the best solution out there! We were able to do this with the help of our very clever high tech 3D scanning equipment.

Our scanner collects all of the data and translates it into a point cloud file. We then design the canopy within the point cloud, ensuring it will fit the space perfectly. Our designer then creates a 3D video walkthrough to show our customers. Most importantly, helping our customers visualise the final product.

After the survey:

David & Susan loved the 3D Visual but wanted to alter a few minor details, which was no problem for us. Our designer got to work and amended these changes. Shortly after the canopy drawings were signed off after we raised the CAD drawings following the site survey, David chose to have the structure powder-coated in RAL 9016 Traffic White, which of course matches and compliments his property very well. Furthermore, David chose opal polycarbonate for the roof which provides light, privacy, and a clean, contemporary finish.

Once a manufactured/delivered date had been confirmed, the installation team arranged a suitable date for the carport to be delivered and erected. The canopy took shape quite quickly. The structure was bolted together, secured to the wall on the left-hand side using bolt down plates, and concreted into the ground on the first day ready for the polycarbonate to be installed. We manufactured the downpipe inside of the front left post, exiting the water into the earth. To keep the right-hand side watertight and stop dripping against the property, our fitters flashed the polycarbonate to the wall and existing gutter.

In conclusion, David and Susan love their brand new Kappion carport and we were proud to deliver a safe high-quality product at an affordable price.

Nice people to deal with and a good quality product. Very pleased with the outcome.
