The Challenge: “Barry’s Gap”
Barry had a very specific layout to work with—a tight, unused space running from the side of his garage over to his shed. Instead of letting that awkward footprint go to waste, we designed a neat, simple half-curve carport tailored to bridge that exact gap.
By anchoring the structure seamlessly between the two existing buildings, we didn’t just save space; we created a cohesive, built-in look that makes the most of his property’s layout.

Smart Engineering for Sloped Driveways
An attractive carport is great, but it also needs to handle the unpredictable British weather. Because Barry’s driveway has a distinct slope, we had to ensure rainwater wouldn’t pool or run off haphazardly onto the tarmac.
Our solution? Internal downpipes at the front of the structure.
By routing the drainage internally through the support posts, we kept the exterior lines incredibly clean and minimalist while safely directing water runoff exactly where it needs to go. No messy external pipes, no pooling water—just smart, functional design.
The Verdict: No More Mess
