Carport Canopy installed in Wolverhampton

Our customer Rosie approached us with the need of a Carport that would protect her and her husband from the weather elements when getting to and from their vehicle. As Rosie’s husband is in a wheelchair, a carport is a necessity for their day to day life.

Shortly after we received Rosie’s enquiry, we arranged a site visit, where we could conduct a survey. During the survey, we learned that Rosie’s main concern was to ensure that the carport would be installed closely to her property, to ensure that no rain water would seep through. As we have to stick to a total height of 2.5m, we would need to tuck the canopy underneath Rosie’s gutter. This would also maximise the protection. We would finish Rosie’s carport in line with the edge of her property, this way we can avoid going through planning permission.  Rosie therefore used her permitted development.

Not long after our site visit, Rosie signed off the final drawings and chose RAL No.7016 (Anthracite Grey), which complemented her brickwork and matched perfectly with her front door. Rosie went ahead and chose clear polycarbonate, which allows as much light transmission into the carport as possible.

Our team then confirmed a manufacture date and got in contact with Rosie to organise an installation date that best worked for her and her schedule. Due to the efficiency of our team, we managed to complete the installation in the time planned.

Once the installation started and following the completion of the grounds work, the canopy took shape quite quickly. By the end of the first day, the completed frame was bolted together, squared up and in the ground. On the second day, we installed the polycarbonate, cleaned the canopy, and then the team inspected Rosie’s carport with her to ensure she was happy with the installation.

The Kappion fitting team were efficient and worked around the clock and using all of their experience and expertise, the carport was installed in two days. Rosie was very pleased with her finished carport.
