Mike approached us with a requirement for a canopy to cover his courtyard area located in front of his garage. Mike wanted something classy and substantial. As Mike’s space was very limited and none of the walls were squared off to each other, this meant that the canopy would have a slight taper.
During our survey with Mike, our surveyor used our 3D Leica scanner to scan the area. These scans are then all grouped together to form a pointcloud. Within the pointcloud our designers are able to create a canopy in the space, and to fit perfectly. Our designers then produce a 3D visual in form of a video for our customer. This video is then sent to the customer and if they’re happy with the visual then we can progress to the next stage.
Mike loved the visual and signed off the canopy drawings. Mike chose to have the structure powder coated in RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey, which would give the area a lovely contemporary look and feel. Mike chose clear VSG/ESG safety glass for the roof which would allow maximum light transmission to the canopy. Mike also opted for solid poly and solid larch infills and a sliding door opening into the garden.
Once a manufactured date had been confirmed, the project manager and Mike arranged a suitable date for courtyard canopy to be delivered and installed.
Once installation started, the canopy took shape fairly quickly and by the end of the first day, the structure was bolted together and secured into the ground. The next day and a half was spent fitting the sliding door, the glass roof and wall infills.
Mike was over the moon with his brand new bespoke courtyard canopy and we were proud to deliver a safe high quality product at an affordable price. As all of our canopies are bespoke, we were able overcome any obstacle and we could satisfy Mike’s needs.
