This week, our team was on-site in beautiful Gloucester to complete a truly magnificent project for our client, Ken. For a long time, Ken had been looking for a solution that was more than just a place to park his cars; he needed a space to simply cover his impressive collection of classic vehicles that he works on and idolises, protecting them from the elements while maintaining an elegant look.
We are proud to reveal this massive 3-bay, arched-roof carport, with impressive overall dimensions of 6 metres deep by 9 metres wide. This structure doesn’t just look great; it’s built to last. The entire frame is fabricated from robust, hot dip galvanised steel and then finished with a sleek, durable powder coating for maximum longevity and a premium appearance.
A Focus on Practical Protection and Sustainability
The roofing is covered in 10mm Bronze Polycarbonate, a choice specifically made to complement the frame while providing critical protection. This tint will keep tree residue, leaves, and other organic matter off his pride and joys, reducing cleaning and maintenance time and shielding them from direct UV rays.
Understanding Ken’s commitment to his garden, the structure features discreet external downpipes integrated into the rear posts. These pipes route directly into the shrubbery at the rear, but Ken has an even better long-term plan: he will be installing multiple water butts at the rear to capture this runoff, ensuring he has a sustainable water source for his garden during the dry summer months.
This is a fantastic example of a large, durable, and thoughtfully designed carport that meets both storage and aesthetic needs. We are thrilled with the final look, and we know Ken is too.
