Wide Qubik Carport installed in Oxfordshire

Jaco approached us with a requirement for one of our flagship ‘Qubik’ carports to protect his vehicles from the weather elements, bird excrement and debris falling from the skies. Jaco has purchased a new build property which hasn’t yet been completed, so ideally he wanted the carport installed and finished in time for him to move in.

Following Jaco’s initial estimate, he was happy with our price, therefore the project manager organised a site survey and design consultation. During our survey, we used our high tech 3D scanning equipment to scan the area. Our scanner collects all of the data and translates it into a point cloud file. We then design the canopy within the point cloud, ensuring it will fit the space perfectly. Our designer then creates a 3D video walkthrough to show our customer, helping Jaco to visualise how the carport will look against the property.

Following the survey:

After seeing the 3D video and accepting his final price, we engineered the canopy drawings which Jaco later signed off with a request for the structure to be powder-coated in RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey to compliment his contemporary property. Furthermore, Jaco chose Opal polycarbonate for the roof glazing as it is light, airy & somewhat hides the debris fallen onto the roof. Jaco opted for rhombus-shaped, spaced larch infills at the rear and left-hand side, along with two lockable sliding gates leading into the garden.

Once an installation date had been confirmed, the project manager arranged a suitable date for the Qubik carport to be delivered and erected.

The Qubik carport itself was fairly straightforward for our experienced fitting team, the sliding gates were a little bit more complicated but nothing our fitters cannot do. The whole installation took around 3 days from start to finish, which is pretty speedy given all the size of the carport, 2 sliding gates and infills. All installed & completed in time for Jaco to move in and reap the benefits!

Jaco is over the moon with his brand new Carport and kindly gave us a Google review:

“Excellence all around, from communication to design to execution to meeting target dates to supplying a quality product. All while being patient with very particular customer requirements. Expectations exceeded. Thank you Team Kappion, we’ll meet again :D”

Jaco is now considering a Kappion patio canopy, so watch out for that blog post!
