Geoffrey contacted us with the requirement for a wall attached carport canopy at the side of his property, where he could store his classic car. Geoffrey previously had a canopy, which he had removed. The quarter curve carport canopy is definitely the best fit with the space available.
The initial visit was pretty straightforward. This canopy design was fairly simple. All we had to do was ensure that the canopy would perfectly fit in-between Geoffrey’s wall and property. He wanted the maximum amount of width available inside the carport. We were able to find out the exact measurements of the needed area using our 360 Leica scanner.
We could offer Geoffrey a built-to-last solution as all of our carports come with full structural calculations. Geoffrey, therefore, knew his carport would be extremely safe since we provided the wind, snow and moment loading calculations.
Geoffrey’s drawings were signed off and he chose RAL 8019 (Grey Brown) as the colour for his canopy to be powder coated in. This complimented Richards property and surroundings really well, offering a modern and stunning finish. Bronze polycarbonate was chosen for the roof because it’s not only easy to clean and maintain, but looks incredible.
Once a manufactured date had been confirmed, the installation team arranged to do the groundworks and deliver the canopy in preparation for the installation.
Once we started, the installation the canopy took shape quite quickly and by the end of the first day, the framework was bolted together and squared up. The second day involved glazing the canopy roof with polycarbonate sheets, checking/securing all fixings, tidying and wiping down. Our team installed Geoffrey’s canopy in just two days!
Finally, we had one last walk around with Geoffrey, who was over the moon with his finished carport canopy.
