The Brief: Secure Side Storage with a Modern Edge
David needed a practical solution to make use of the unused space down the side of his house leading to the garden. The goal was straightforward: keep his motorbikes completely safe, dry, and protected from the harsh unpredictable weather, without sacrificing the kerb appeal of his property.
His previous canopy was well past its prime, leaving a tricky layout to replace. We stepped in to bridge the gap left by the old structure and engineer a seamless, custom solution.

Every property has its quirks, and David’s was no exception. To make the most of the layout, we designed and fabricated a completely custom canopy tailored specifically to the lines of his home.

- Tailored Tapering: The structure is subtly tapered from front to back, perfectly mirroring the angle of the neighbouring wall for a flush, custom-built look.
- Sleek Palette: Finished in RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey paired with Opal Polycarbonate roofing for a bright, modern look that diffuses natural light while keeping the elements out.
- Clean Rear Fascia: Styled with a rear fascia panel to deliver a crisp, contemporary finish from every angle.
- Flawless Weatherproofing: Sealed against the house with signature Kappion sealing trim and custom lead work to guarantee a completely weathertight finish.
- Smart Drainage: Rather than overcomplicating the plumbing, we cleverly tapped straight into the existing downpipe fed directly into the ground.
One Small Problem… (The Best Kind of Problem!)
After seeing the final reveal, David had just one regret: he was genuinely deflated that he didn’t extend the canopy even further down the side!
Because the finished structure so completely exceeded his expectations, he immediately saw the potential for even more covered storage space. But don’t worry, David—our canopy systems are built with future-proofing in mind. We’re already putting our heads together to plan a quick retrofit to carry the canopy further down when he’s ready!
