Wall Attached Carport installed in Essex

Steven and his wife approached us back in June with the need to cover two of their vehicles. They expressed to us that debris from the skies and surrounding trees kept landing on their cars. So naturally, they enquired about a carport.

Our most stylish Quarter Curved carport was the ideal choice for our customers’ bungalow property with its premium quality and extremely contemporary appearance.

Firstly the initial visit down to Essex was to discuss Steven’s needs, and requirements and to assess the area, which was relatively straightforward to cover. We wanted to make sure that we maximised the use of the space to provide Steven with the best solution out there! We were able to do this with the help of our very clever high-tech 3D scanning equipment.

Our scanner collects all of the data and translates it into a point cloud file. We then design the canopy within the point cloud, ensuring it will fit the space perfectly. Our designer then creates a 3D video walkthrough to show our customers the canopy in situ. This visual helps our customers to visualise the final product against their property.

After the survey:

Steven loved the 3D Visual, it was everything he was expecting! He then requested his final price so we got our structural engineers to update him. Steven’s final price came out less than his initial estimate as the sizes had slightly decreased, so he was very happy! (Providing the sizes haven’t changed from the estimate, the final price often comes back very close to the estimate). Steven asked for us to send over the invoice so he could pay his 25% deposit.

After Steven paid his deposit, we sent the canopy drawings into production. Steven signed off the production drawings and chose for his carport to be powder-coated in RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey, which of course compliments and provides a contemporary look to his property. Furthermore, Steven chose Clear polycarbonate for the roof which provides light, privacy, and a clean, contemporary finish.

Once a manufactured/delivered date had been confirmed, the installation team arranged a suitable date for the carport to be delivered and erected. The canopy took shape quite quickly. The structure was bolted together, secured to the wall on the right-hand side, and concreted into the ground on the left side all on the first day ready for the polycarbonate to be installed on the 2nd day. We manufactured the downpipe inside of the front left post, exiting the water into the earth. To keep the rear of the carport somewhat watertight, our fitters flashed the polycarbonate to the garage wall.

In conclusion, Steven and his wife love their brand new Kappion carport and we were proud to deliver a safe high-quality product at an affordable price.

We are delighted with the canopy and the guys have done a great job in a short time.
