Our customer Martin had been looking for a canopy for a little while when he came to us. He had looked around at what other canopy companies could do and came to the conclusion that only Kappion could do exactly what he wanted and at the right price. Martin was in need for a long work shop canopy to be installed to the left of his building. The result was a dry extended space for his team to work under.
Not long after we received Martin’s enquiry, we arranged a suitable date for our surveyor to visit and conduct the survey. During the visit, we used our state of the art BLK360 Leica Scanner, which takes a scan of the desired area. We then send this to our designers for them to open the scan up in a pointcloud document and begin designing the canopy to the exact size needed. The design was agreed with Martin and the engineering drawings were produced. Due to the way that we work at Kappion there wasn’t a great deal to check, mainly because everything is so clearly defined in software and on our modelling system.
Martin signed the final drawings off and opted for a galvanised finish, which ultimately keeps the cost down. After all the canopy will be hidden behind a gate and fencing. Clear polycarbonate was chosen for the roof glazing in order to allow as much light as possible into the structure, providing a light work environment for workers. For further protection against weather elements, Martin opted for a stormshield infill on the side of this canopy.
Once a manufactured date had been confirmed, the project management team arranged a suitable date for the canopy to be delivered and installed. Installation of the canopy was straightforward as the canopy fitted the space perfectly. Our professional fitting team came across no complications and our customer was pleasantly surprised at how quickly we installed his canopy.
Once the installation was complete, our guys had a final clean down and hand over with Martin, who was extremely happy with the finished product. The workshop team were over the moon that they had a clean dry space to work away from the weather elements.
