Our customer Steven, approached us with a requirement for a quarter curve carport. Steven designed and built his own house, therefore aesthetics were very important to him. As Steven wanted his carport installed on his driveway, exceeding the projection of his property, planning permission was required. Steven went through planning permission himself.
After speaking with Steven, we organised a site survey which best suited his schedule. During our survey we discussed with Steven all of his needs & requirements, such as dimensions, infills options and any other questions and queries he had. Steven wanted to infill 2 walls, the rear and left side. At the rear, Steven opted for Solid Budmax infills and for the left side he opted for Rhombus Rainscreen larch infills. The right side already had protection from his neighbour’s garage, so infills were not necessary.
The canopy drawings were signed off after we raised the CAD drawings following the site survey, and Steven chose to have the structure powder coated in RAL 7016, Anthracite Grey, which nicely compliments his property and the canopy infills. He chose clear polycarbonate for the roof which allows maximum light transmission to enter the canopy.
Once a manufactured/delivery date had been confirmed, our project manager arranged a suitable date for the carport to be delivered and erected. The canopy took shape quite quickly and by the end of the first day, the structure was bolted together, secured and concreted into the ground, ready for the polycarbonate and infills to be installed on the second day. Steven is overjoyed with his canopy and we are proud to deliver a safe high quality product at an affordable price.
