Our customer David, reached out to us with a requirement for a single car-carport to cover his vehicle. David wanted his carport to match the black cladding on his property, therefore aesthetics were very important to him. The proposed carport would look contemporary, simple, sleek and would definitely compliment the look of David’s home.
After speaking with David, our project manager organised a site survey which best suited his schedule. During our survey we discussed with David all of his needs & requirements and any other questions and queries he had. David wanted his carport installed parallel to his property, which would block part of his view out his office window, therefore we decided that a gentle mono pitched roof carport would be the best solution for the area. The mono pitched style resolved that issue. Meanwhile we scanned the area using our high tech scanner. We then hand over the scans to our designers who produce a 3D visual ready to send to our customer.
After receiving his 3D visual of the carport David went ahead and paid his deposit. We then produced CAD drawings for the proposed carport, which David later signed off. David opted for a jet black (RAL 9005) structure, which is hot dip galvanised and powder coated. He chose bronze polycarbonate for the roof glazing which is the most efficient when it comes to fallen debris from overhanging trees and bird excrement.
Once a manufactured and delivery date had been confirmed, our project manager arranged a suitable date for the carport to be delivered and erected. The carport took shape pretty quickly and by the end of the first day, the structure was bolted together, secured and concreted into the ground, ready for the polycarbonate to be installed on the second day. David and his wife were overjoyed with their brand new Kappion Carport.
