Firstly, aesthetics were a huge factor for Rob. He wanted something simple yet elegant and of course structurally sound. He wanted a structurally-sound carport canopy that would provide him and his vehicles with the upmost protection.
During the survey with Rob we discussed the size of the carport, the post positions and the ground level. We used our high tech laser scanner to determine the exact size of the space and therefore the proposed carport. Our scanner captures a detailed scan of the desired area and transfers them into a point cloud file. Our designers can then begin designing the carport to fit the space perfectly.
Rob opted for opal polycarbonate for the roof glazing which provides the carport with a modern and clean finish. Not to mention keeping it light and airy inside the carport. Rob also choice for his carport structure to be powder coated in Jet Black (RAL 9005). Once the carport had been manufactured, our project manager got in touch with Rob to organise a suitable installation date.
The installation of the free-standing double carport was installed with ease. This style of carport is fairly straightforward for our fitters. By the end of the first day the canopy structure had been set in place and ready to be glazed with polycarbonate in the morning.
Our fitting team gave the canopy a final wipe down and handed over to Rob who was over the moon with his brand new Kappion carport!
