After sending over her initial enquiry, our estimators responded with an estimated quote for a 6m x 5.5m half curved carport, which Barbara was pleased with. Naturally, the next step was to organise a site survey and design consultation. During the site survey, we discussed every aspect of the project and agreed that as the carport would be a half-curved freestanding carport that it would have four posts buried into concrete, the two front posts would be inset 1 metre and we would span the full width of two parking spaces. Barabara wanted to keep furniture to a minimum, so she asked for the downpipes to be installed inside of the posts.
The 3D scans taken on-site were then used to create a 3D video walkthrough of the carport, showing it in situ. We use advanced scanners to obtain detailed survey data, enabling us to model a carport that will fit like a glove – we are millimetre perfect! Barbara was over the moon with the design and positioning so we calculated a final price for her.
The final price met Barbara’s expectations so she placed her order with us! Full steam ahead, our engineers quickly began the CAD drawings. Barbara asked for the carport structure to be powder-coated in Jet Black which blends well with her gutterings. Furthermore, Barbara asked for the roof to be glazed in bronze polycarbonate, which is the most effective at hiding debris when surrounded by trees.
Once the carport had been manufactured, our project manager arranged a suitable date for the carport to be delivered, erected and installed. The structure was fully installed in just 1 day! This half-curved carport fits the space perfectly and looks the business! Barbara is very happy with their brand new Kappion carport solution.
