Jon from SC Motor Factors approached us with a requirement for an Outdoor Working Canopy to provide coverage for workers, equipment and deliveries. SC Motor Factors ran out of space inside their unit, so they utilised the space in their side alley. Delivery vans reverse up the side alley and offload the deliveries. Due to the weather in the UK, everything kept getting wet and water damaged. As we have a 1st class reputation when it comes to designing and installing canopies, Jon knew our canopy was the right choice.
Shortly after SC Motor Factors’ enquiry, we arranged a site survey that best suited their schedule.
As the canopy is a straightforward design, the survey was relatively simple and straightforward. Our team quickly determined the exact dimensions that the canopy would need to be. The free-standing canopy will be bolted to a reinforced concrete pad, and will be situated to the side of the main unit.
Jon signed off and said that the structure and wanted the canopy to be powder coated in Gentian Blue (RAL 5010), which matches the windows and doors of the building perfectly. Jon chose clear polycarbonate, which is the most appropriate choice for the roof glazing as this would allow as much light into the area as possible, keeping it light and airy.
Once a manufactured delivered date had been confirmed, the installation team arranged a suitable date for the canopy to be delivered and erected. Installation of the canopy was straightforward and was fully installed from start to finish in 1 day!
